One Builder. One Crew.
One Standard.

Every Harborview project is overseen personally — from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. The same trusted crew shows up to every job. No revolving door of subcontractors. No handoffs to someone you have never met.

We take on a limited number of projects each year so that every client receives our full attention. When we commit to your build, we are there — on site, accountable, and reachable — until the last detail is right.

That consistency is how we have maintained the same standard for over three decades. It is also why our clients keep coming back.

An Honest Conversation About Price

Why We Are Often the Highest Bid

We hear it regularly: “Your price came in higher than the other guys.” It does. And there is a reason for that. The lowest number on a proposal is almost never the final number you pay.

01

The Low-Ball Bid

Some contractors price low to win the job. They know the real cost is higher — they're counting on change orders, allowance overages, and scope creep to make up the difference once you're committed and the walls are open.

02

Surprise Change Orders

A vague scope invites vague pricing. When the original bid doesn't account for what's actually behind the walls — rot, outdated wiring, undersized framing — those costs show up mid-project as change orders you never saw coming.

03

Cheap Materials, Short Life

The fastest way to lower a bid is to downgrade materials. Standard fasteners instead of marine-grade stainless. Builder-grade lumber instead of premium treated. It looks the same on day one. It doesn't look the same in year three.

04

Rotating Crews

Lower bids often mean the contractor is juggling multiple jobs with whoever is available that week. Different crews mean inconsistent quality, miscommunication, and details that fall through the cracks.

05

No Real Warranty

A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. Many contractors offer one on paper but are gone, restructured, or unresponsive when you actually need them. A low price today can mean no recourse tomorrow.

06

The Final Number

By the time the project is done, the cheapest bid often costs the same — or more — than the honest one. The difference is you spent months dealing with surprises, delays, and the stress of watching costs climb.

What Our Price Includes

When we hand you a number, it reflects the actual cost of doing the work correctly — with materials rated for your environment, a crew that has built together for years, and a scope detailed enough that surprises are the exception, not the rule. We don't pad with hidden allowances. We don't leave line items vague. And we don't change the price unless the scope genuinely changes — in writing, with your approval, before any work is done.

Our 7-year craftsmanship warranty is not a marketing line. It is a reflection of how rarely we get called back — and the confidence that comes from 30 years of building the same way, with the same standards, every time.
